At the British Association meeting, Dr Fournier D’Aibo exhibited a reading optophone, which enables the totally blind to read ordinary typo by sound, provided lit is of large siae and printed on gelatine or other transparent material. He hopes soon to enable the blind to read all letterpress printed in black on ordinary paper.
