AUCKLAND EXHIBITION
PROGRESS OF ARRANGEMENTS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 14. The executive of the Auckland Exhibition announce that the finances are in a very satisfactory condition owing to all the space being sold and tins money received. A large number of other items of revenue have been satisfactorily settled, and considering the large initial expenditure the overdraft is remarkably small. Within .the past few days » satisfactory arrangement has been made with the amusement syndicate controlling “Wonderland.” The syndicate was to have paid 25 per cent, of the gross takings to the executive, but 1 after negotiation it was agreed to settle at once, the syndicate paying a lump sum of several thousand pounds. The amount was assessed on the probable patronage, given ordinary weather Conditions. The accommodation organiser is issuing booklets giving particulars regarding the accommodation to be had for the benefit of people outside of Auckland. One or two exiuuitors have already started putting in the framing for their stalls.
