POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK
INCREASE IN DEPOSITS. Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 16. At Awakino on I'riday night the Postmaster-General announced that in May the Post Office Savings Bank deposits exceeded the withdrawals by £90,516, as compared with an excess of £82,566 in May last year, indicating ft turn in the tide. Mr Rhodes returned to New Plymouth last night, and left for Wellington this morning, after a most successful trip to the backblocks.
