'TAKE IT OUT IN QUAD ’
SLY GROGGER FINED £IOO “WILL SELL WHISKY TILL HELL FREEZES.” Press Association. GISBORNE, June 16. ‘1 will sell whisky till hell freezes,’’ defiantly declared an old man named Patrick O’Connor during the hearing against him of a charge of sly grog selling, at To Karaka Court, to-day. O’Connor is becoming a well-known character in this district. Three months ago he was fined £SO on a similar charge, and elected to go to prison, and had barely been released before ho was again in trouble. To-day he was fined £IOO or three months, and avowed his intention of “taking it out in quad.”
