ANTI-WAR MANIFESTO

THE SOCIALIST CREED SWISS CONGRESS’S CALL TO EUROPE AND AMERICA. (Sydney “Sun” Special.) PARIS, November 29. The Socialists now in congress at Basle, Switzerland, have issued a manifesto calling upon their' brethren in Europe and America to resist any attempt by their respective Governments to prepare for war. The manifesto, which was drawn np by the French Socialist leader, M. Jaures, declares that the time has passed when the workers of the world should be expected to shoot one another in order to further the interests of the capitalist classes. Plans are being arranged for monster anti-war demonstrations in sixteen of the great European cities.
