New Caledonia is threatened with another serious outbreak of bubonic plague. An epidemic swept over the island eleven years ago, killing many whites and several hundred lenakas • and Asiatics. There is now a prospect of that epidemic being repeated. Twenty persons have died in the last two months, including two Europeans. Many others are in the hospitals.
