DURNAN HAS EASY WIN OVER HACKETT. NEW YORK, August 1. Eddie Durnan, the Canadian sculling champion, defeated John Hackett, of Beaudette, in a match on tho Rainy River, Ontario. Durnan won by seven .lengths, covering the three miles, in 2Chain 49seo. The winner paddled in at the finish.
