MURDEROUS PRISONER
ATTACKS FELLOW CONVICTS WITH A KNIFE. LOS ANGELES, August 1. John Valshik, a prisoner. Tolled 0. H. Mullen and wounded fatally Lewis W. Noell and Martin Mendez, fellow prisoners. Valshik was acting as waiter, and concealed a knife with which he stabbed Mullen in the head, and gave Noell a out on tho back of the arm which nearly severed it. Mendez was stabbed near the heart and on the face.
