PROSPECTS BRIGHT.
RICH ORE LOCATED IN KANIERI DEEP LEVELS. PRESS ASSOCIATION. HOKITIKA, July 22. The deep levels of the Kanieri goldfield, which have recently -been prospected with the Government keystone borer, have been found to contain very rich gold. The prospects secured were as high as an ounce to the load, which is the richest ground yet prospected by Air Seale, who has been in charge of the machine for the past four years. A company is in course of flotation, and Mr A. A. Lee,, engineer, who is negotiating for the required capital of £30,000, has already . secured half the amount, although no prospectus has been issued.
I . At a public meeting held on' the AVest Coast last week in . connection with another venture, -Mr Seale stated that if the prospects were half as good as those obtained by him in tho Kanieri district, the results would bo very satisfactory. Expert mine managers from other parts of tho Dominion hate just visited the Kanieri field, and expressed themselves confident of the success of the proposition. Tho acquisition of the Humfreys Gully water-race, which originally cost £IOO,OOO, besides oilier privileges, promises, to make the venture ono of the most valuable on the I AVest Coast.
