A large d*outation, representing tho flax and dairy- interests, is to wait on the Premier to-morrow to ask for legislative relief in connection with injunctions to bo granted under the judgment of the Chief Justice in the Pearce cases, preventing flax millers from’ letting vegetable refuse run into rivers, and in which the Chief Justice stated that even water of a different quality run in would bo' polluting. It is claimed that this prevents drainage from dairy factories or flax mills, even though the matter was in itself inoffensive, and in such case would seriously cripple these industries.
