WANGANUI NOTES

(By “Eileen.”) July 18., Mr and Mrs A. E. Bullock (Taranaki) are at present in town. Mrs Dent (Wellington) is spending a couple of months with Mr and Mrs E. Poynter, Heads road. Mrs Bold, who has been paying a round of visits here, has left for Wellington, where she intends residing. Mrs Bolton (Wellington) is in town for a. few days. Inspector Keiley (Christchurch) has been spending a short holiday here. He left this week for Stratford on a visit to liis daughter, Mrs Massy. Mr and Mrs Bridge (Invercargill) are visitors to 'Wanganui. Three very old residents of Wanganui passed away within three days of one another. Alley were Mr Edward Howe, who arrived here in the early fifties; Mr Peter Ballentyno, who arrived about the same time; and Mr W. P. Currie, all well-known residents.
