MURDER TO MUZZLE THE PRESS.

A Turkish officer, conversing at the Military Club, attributed the murder of. Zckki Bey to the Committee of Union, and Progress. Zefcki had threatened to give public utterance to his views and his brother officers thereupon killed him. Two other officers were also assassinated.

A cable message sent from Constantinople on July 12th stated: Two assassins murdered Zeldn Key. editor of the newspaper "Shora." This is the third murder of journalists opposing the Committee of Union and ProgressTwo arrests . have been made. ■
