"That a deputation consisting, of members of the Onslow Borough Council bo appointed to wait on the Wellington City Council to urge th© desirability of extension of the tramway from the’ Esplanade terminus to Ivaiwaxra as -speedily as possible." The councillor , said that already a petition in favour of this had been signed bv 127 persons. H© know that by statute electric traction was forbidden on this road, but he thought something oould-be don©. The Mayor was of opinion that tho law was too. big a . stumbling block.
