PROPOSED CHINESE RAILWAYS

The “Daily Chronicle ” states that Japan, relying on a secret treaty concluded in 11)0(1, has vetoed a proposal by China to build a railway from Hsin-min-tun to Faku-men, linking up Pekin with the South Manchurian lino. China has acquiesced in this decision.
