LARGE ESTATE SOLD.

PRESS ASSOCIATION. NAPIER. October 26. Messrs C. B. Hoadley and Son have sold Captain Birch’s Ornamatua estate at Inland Patea, consisting of 4000 acres freehold and 6-1,000 acres leasehold, together -with 32,000 sheep and 350 head cattle, and all plant as a going concern to Mr T. H. Lowry, of Oka-.va. The price paid was sixty thousand pounds. This property is situated on the opposite side of the Rangitikei river to Mr G. P. Donnelly’s Mangaohane estate.

Messrs Hoadley and Son have been directed by Mr Lowry to offer a portion o-f his Okawa estate to the Government for the purpose of close settlement. .
