Two men are rising on some stone that has been very much broken. There is a ’big improvement, and it has now tho appearance of making into a solid body of stone. The end of the coming week will sea tho stone all out in tho south end. DUNEDIN, September 5. During tho week ended to-day returns have tbecn reported from fiftyfive dredges, tho total yield being 31730 z 7dwt llgr—an average of 390 z per dredge. Additional returns—Now Perseverance, 230 z sdwt 12gr; Enfield, 20oz Idwt 12gr; Taniwha, 15oz 17dwt; Sheddon’s Freehold, 41oz; Golden Gate, 13oz 14dwt; New Woodstock, 30oz; Nelson Greek, 68oz.
