BLENHEIM, August 19. Results for the fifteenth week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition:— Total for the week, 2524; average, 25£; grand total, 20,423; .grand average per pen to date, 204-1. The total for the week shows an improvement on that of the previous week, some of the individual laying being particularly good. Traherne's black Orpingtons from Christchurch. with a total of thirty-eight have established a new record for New Zealand, if not for Australasia. Hawke's (Greytown North) silver Wyandottes and Brown's (Christchurch) white Leghorn©, with thirty-seven each, also did well. The weather for the week was fairly good. All the birds are looking in splendid condition.
