The Chief Healths Offioer (Dr Mason) is at present at Rotorua At a recent meeting of the Ceremonial and Entertainment Committee of the New Zealand Exhibition a communication was received from the Building Committee notifying that the request of the Entertainment Committee for two thousand seats in the concert hall had been granted. In considering the matter of an electricallyblown organ, Dr Bradshaw mentioned that he had read the amended specifications, and was of opinion that the organ was one that "Christchurch would be proud of. The civil action, Henry Fielder v. the trustees of the Wellington Working Men’s Club, came on again yesterday before his Honor Mr Justice Cooper. Plaintiff seeks to recover the sum of £226 5s lid, balance of amount for the supply of furniture to the institution. The matter was partly heard several months ago, and Was then adjourned, pending a suggested settlement. At the hearing yesterday further evidence was taken, and judgment was reserved. Mr Gray appeared for the plaintiff and Mr D. M. Findlay for tne defendants.
