WAIPAWA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The following members of the Waipawa Fire Brigade have been selected to represent the Brigade at the competition to be held at Dunedin next March: Foreman Collett, Branchman Oarne, Firemen J. Moroney, T. Wills and E. Collett; emergency, Branchman W. Moroney. A numerously-attended and representative meeting of Waipawa and Waipukurau residents was held in the Imperial Hotel, last Friday evening, the object being consideration of how to fittingly celebrate tlie holiday accorded to St. Patrick's Day. Mr S'. McGreevy occupied the chair. It was decided to hold a Bports meeting at Waipawa. The sum of J<Bs is to be paid Out m stakes. The Waipawa Athletic Club is to be asked to amalgamate with a view to holding a combined meeting.
