AHAURA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) An old resident of Brunne'rton, William Wilt, was fonnd dead in his bed on Friday evening. Deceased, who was about 75 years of age, was partly paralysed. Mr W. Church, of Stillwater, has been appointed a Justice of the Peace. Mr A. Riddiford, of Blackball, through over-reaching himself, had to undergo a serious operations on Friday last, at the Grey River Hospital. H© is now getting on favourably. A number of Reefton citizens, during the holidays, visited the Maruia hot springs. It is a pity that a good road to, and good accommodation at, these springs is not afforded the West Coast people. Visitors there, even after roughing it in West Coast fashion, have returned feeling rejuvenated. Still for want of a road and accommodation, some have to spend their last shilling to proceed elsewhere, even subscriptions being raised, to enable the afflicted to do so.
