SWISS REJECT INNOVATIONS.
GENEVA, Nov. 15. The result of the- referendum taken throughout Switzerland: yesterday c-n. two questions—viz., the application of the system.' of proportional representation to the election of members of the National Council, and the election of the Federal Council by popular vote was unfavourable to- the advocate** cf these reforms. The first proposal was rejected by a majority of 75,000 votes and the second by a majority of 129,000.
