RAJKOT, Nov. 15. The Viceroy arrived here yesterday. Addressing the chiefs and' the pupils of the Raj Kumar College, Lord Ctirzon said that th© college was doing a noble work for the rising generation of the princely and! aristocratic families -cf Kathiawar and Gujerat. He would appeal to the ruling families of Bombay generously to contribute to the support of the institution, and to send their sons and grandsons to it, ,aa th© influence of the college was of inestimable value on. the well-being and good government- of the province. The Viceroy then, alluded to the difficulty of transplanting' the best in Western thought and tradition without impairing India’s love of home and country, and said that it wa.s a great mistake to suppose that because boys were given the equivalent- of an Englih public school education the aim of the college was to turn its pupils outright into English boys. Anglicised Indians were not more attractive than Indianised Englishmen.— Reuter. ,
