Telephone- oilieo closes at Martinborough 5 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races will bo run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Wellington MetroNo qualification foe. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m. The first race will sixu-t at 12 noon sharp. Each race will start punctually at tho time appearing in the correct card of the races. No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before tho timo of starting. All nominations and entries to be made in writing, sealed, and addressed to the Secretary ; entrance money to be enclosed, with sex, name, age, pe igree and previous performances of horses, name of the owner, and colours oi' the rider. The attention of owners is particularly directed to iho following : No nomination or acceptance will be accepted without tho amount of requisite fees. 1.,.N0 nomination or acceptance will bo accepted after time named under any pretence whatever. No entry will bo received for any of the races except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of 2 guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Hack shall mean a. horse that has never won an advertised race at any time (hack or hunter races excepted) and is not nominated for any race other than hack or hunter races at time of entry.
