Paris, April 29. M. Meline has succeeded in forming a new Cabinet, the principal members of which are:— Premier: M. Meline. Minister of Justice : M. Darlan. Minister of Foreign Affairs : M. ILiuotattx.
Minister of tho Interior: 31. Barthou. Minister of Finance : M. Cochery. Minister of War: M. Billot. Minister of Marine: M. Bernard. Minister for the Colonies: M. Libon. Minister of Education: M. Rambaub. Paris, April 30. The political programme of M. Meline, the new Premier, provides for maintaining the Republican solidarity, tho reform of tho succession and liquor laws, direct taxation, establishment of .a colonial army and a modified income tax. Pakis, May 1. The Chamber of Deputies, by a majority of 35, carried a vote of confidence in tho Government, and unanimously favoured universal suffrage. The Padicals and Socialists are organising a campaign against tho Senate.
