Obituary.

SIR CHARLES BUTT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, May 26. The death is announced of Sir Charleß Butt, President of the Probate, Divorce, and Admiralty Division of the High Court of Justice. [The Hen Sir Charles Parker Butt was born in 1830, called to the Bar in 18E4, and created aQ.O. in 1868. After unsuccessfully contesting Tamworth he sat as M. P. for Southampton in the Riberai interest from ISBO to 1883, when he was appointed a Judge of the Probate Divorce and Admiralty division, a vacancy being caused by the resignation of Sir Robert Phillimore. In succession to Lord Hannen he was appointed in January, 1891, President of this Division of the High. Court of Justice, arid was sworn a member of the Privy Council in February the same year.]
