Our telegrams convey the information that Sir Morell Mackenzie is about to publish a full account of the late German Emperor’s illness. One extraordinary point about the coming work is, according, to the Independance Beige, that it states that Dr Gerhardt’s treatment of .the Emperor produced cancer. That any surgical or medical treatment can produce cancer is certainly a novelty to the medical world. The statement, which we publish as we received it, is either wrongly cabled, or else it is a now discovery in surgical science that the world has happily been in ignorance of.
