MILITARY WEDDING

AMERICAN BRIDEGROOM ERICKSON-FLEET St. Mary's Cathedral was the scene of the wedding last Saturday evening of Miss Norma Fleet, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Fleet, Meadowbank Road, Remuera, to Lieutenant Edward H. Erickson, United States Army, second son of Mr and Mrs F. Erickson, Illinois, United States. Dean Fancourt officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of ivory embossed satin, made with draped bodice, long sleeves, heart-shaped neckline. full skirt and a train edged with tulle pleating. Her tulle veil was held by a topknot to match her sheaf of roses, carnations and Jilv-of-the-valley. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Fleet, sister of the bride, wore a dress of apricot marquisette, fashioned with a gathered bodice, long waisted and tight fitting, and a full skirt. She wore a topknot to match her shower bouquet of mixed flowers. Noelene Fleet, the bride's niece, as flower girl, was dressed similarly to the bridesmaid. The best man was Mr John Roxbrough. A small family reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.
