Wilson, put up notable performances at the annual sports of the Ingle wood School recently. They gained the maximum points for athletics in their respective grades, and each scored nine points for swimming, so that they tied for the Nichol Cup, awarded to the competitor naming highest points in any grade. The younger, M. Wilson, who is 10, registered 1-lft lin for the long jump, as well as winning his threa running events. BOAVLING TOURNEY (0.C.) HAMILTON, Thursday A full-rink tournament played at Whitiora yesterday resulted in a win for Sannderson, Morris, Elliott and Anchor, of Hamilton. CROQUET TOURNAMENT To Aroha Club.—The Te Aroha Croquet Club's annual tournament was concluded this week after 12 days' play. It was the most successful yet held by the club, and the profits will be devoted to the war effort. The winners were as follows:—Championship singles (Meikle Cup): Mrs. Monson (Te Aroha); runner-up, Hart (Wellington). Championship doubles: Mesdames Hardley (Mount Hobson) and Wymer (St. Heliers): runners-up, Mrs, Crawford (To Aroha) and Managh (Timaru). Handicap doubles: Mrs. Monson and Miss Wainwrigtit (Matangi); runners-un. Mesdames Wyntcr and Rowbotham (St. Heliers). Handicap singles, A grade ('.Hart Cup): Mrs. Monson; runner-up, Mrs. Darby (Thames). Handicap singles, B grade: Miss J. Wainwrieht; runner-up. Mrs. Wainwright (Matangi). In the semi-final of the championship doubles Mesdames Hardley and Wymer lied with Mrs. Monson and Harf. In (he plavoff Mesdames Unr'Hey and Wvmer were the winners and in Hie final they heat Mrs. Crawford and Managh by only three points.
