BOXING IN SYDNEY
HENNEBERRY DISQUALIFIED WIN FOR RON. RICHARDS SYDNEY, Nov. 28 Ron Richards, list 6lb, defeated Fred Henneberry, list 4 1 /lb, at the Sydney Stadium in the 13th round of a scheduled 15-round fight. Henneberry was disqualified for butting. There were many exciting moments, and tho referee showed Kreat patienco. The trouble began in the twelfth round, when bad feeling arose after the referee had intervened to draw the boxers apart. Although the reforee stood between them they refused to break and the bell sounded while the boxers were ignoring the referee's instructions. The seconds rushed into the ring and after much struggling the boxers were separated. Early in the 13th round Hermetic-r,v was cautioned for refusing to break. His head came up several times and the referee promptly declared Richards the winner. Henneberry declined t-o recognise the referee's action and sought to continue. Henneberry was but a shadow of 'his past greatness and did not win a round. This is the fourth time Richards has got the decision on a disqualification. The bout was for charity purposes and was labelled by the Australian promoters as being for tho British Empire middle-weight title. This was the tenth time the pair had met. Richards has won six of their fights and Henneberry tbreo. Their first contest ended in a draw. r SUCCESS FOR FRITZIE ZIVIC (Rccd. 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 Frltzlo Zivlc, 1401b, a former champion welter-weight boxer, defeated Phil Furr, 14!J%1b, on points in a bout of ten rounds. Zivic is making a "come-back."
