OBITUARY
MR. ALFRED WADE (0.C.) GISBORNE. Taesday The death has occurred of Mr. Alfred Wade, aged 72, who was well known in business and local body circles in the Gisborno district. Mr. Wade was born in Thames and came to Gisborne while a small boy, spending most of his life here engaged as a plumber. At various times Mr. Wade was a member of the Gisborne Borough Council and the Gisborne Harbour Board. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. MRS. G. W. BURMESTER (0.C.) MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday The death has occurred of Mrs. Martha Burmester, aged 75, wife of Mr. G. W. Burmester, of Morrinsville. Mrs. Burmester was born in County Armagh, Ireland, and came to New Zealand at the age of 13. Most of her early life was spent at Temuka. South Island, but later she resided at Wanganui and Te Aroha, and finally for over eight years at Morrinsville. Mr. and Mrs. Burmester celebrated their golden wedding last year. Besides her husband, Mrs. Burmester is survived by three sons.
