AUCKLAND LABOUR CLUB
The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Auckland Labour Club:—President, Mr. ,T. Purtetl; vice-prcsi-dent. Mr. L. Marks: secretary, Mr. J. Jones; treasurer, Mr. E. Walker; executive, Messrs. T. Greenhalgh, C. Matthews. N. Finch. A. Conlani and R. Beckett. Tho retiring secretary, Mr. A. Williamson, end tho retiring treasurer, Mr. D. Lyons, were elected lifo members. The annual report referred to the loss of members, due mainly to tho war. and the institution of a scheme permitting Labour Party branches and trade unions to affiliate with the club on the basis of (3d a member per year. As a result of this, the club's financial position had improved considerably. '
