A proposal that employers' associations. chambers of commerce and manufacturers' associations throughout the connt:rv should get together and form one biy federation was m;ide by the president of the Xew Zealand Employers' Federation'. Mr. R. Sutherland, at the annual meeting of the Wellington Employers' Association to-night. "By having that." Mr. Sutherland said, "we would all be united and I think we would have a much greater power in the control of the country than we have at present. We would not be able tf). be taken piece-meal and beaten one after the other as is being done ai present."
Mr. Sutherland said that this offer had been made to other organisations some time ago. hut had not yet met with any response from the manufacturers or chambers -of commerce.
