MAORI VOLUNTEERS
ACTIVITY IN NORTHLAND (0.C.) WHANGAREI, Monday During the past fortnight 11 Maoris in Northland have volunteered for overseas service and 28 for territorial service. More interest is being taken by the Maoris in the area during the past few weeks in offering themselves for the forces, and it is stated that the Whangarei area now has a reasonable number of Maori volunteers to draw on for reinforcements for the Maori Battalion overseas,
