CURRENT YEAR'S NEEDS AGREEMENT WITH QUEENSLAND [by TEI.F.GKAPH —I'IIKSS association] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, announced that an agreement had been reached by the Queensland and New Zealand Governments for the Dominion's supply of sugar in the current year. The agreement meant that the arrangements which had been in force since New Zealand entered the Empire purchasing scheme early last year would he continued, said the Minister. The shipping tonnage required to convey the sugar from Queensland to New Zealand would be made available by the Commonwealth authorities.
