SIX FRUITERERS FINED [by telegraph —press association] WELLINGTON, Friday A warning that if any more cases of the kind came before the Court fines would be very much heavier was given in the Magistrate's Court by Mr. A. M. Goulding, S.M., when dealing with prosecutions of fruiterers for exposing oranges for sale at excessive prices and failing to put price, grade and count labels on oranges and lemons. They were the first prosecutions to be brought by the Internal Marketing Division. Six fruiters were prosecuted, the fines ranging from £'2 to £3. The magistrate commented during the hearing that lie thought the Fruiterers' Association should take up the question of print-1 iug instructions in Chinese as well as English, as the regulations had to be obeyed whether a man could read English or not.
