Tranquil Star bo- ; came a hot favourite after running ' second to Lucrative in the Victoria ; Derby last Saturday. Throttle was a moderate third in to-day's event. D. Munro, the rider of Session, won the I race on Triode last year and his horsemani ship was a big factor in Session's victory. . The winner ran out a little in the straight • and some people anticipated there would bo > a protest. J In spite of interference at tho start, All : Lovo outclassed her rivals in the Byron Moore ! Stakes and maintained her unbeaten record in three starts. She' cost 250 guineas and has won over .L'2ooo in stakes. Jn an .-ill-New Zealand result, High Caste ; was not troubled to win the Linlithgow ' Stakes from Gold Salute. After lying fourth • in running, High Caste tackled the leaders in tho straight. All the galloping at Hastings was done on the outside of tho course proper. Yogi, who had • been nursing an injured foot for three days, hit out freely over three furlongs, run in 30 3-ss. It depends on his work to-morrow whether lie will start on Saturday. Proven did a Jiitle better than any other juvenilo when recording 30 3-5s for three furlongs. Burra Sahib beat Valcony in lis, time which Crucible and Stolen Coat equalled, j Greek Dancer wa.s well clear, of Gay Rona in lis. Black Sultan and Dusky Bay recorded •10s. travelling easily.
