QUEEN CARNIVAL

CORONATION CEREMONY Another large gathering in the Town Hall last night saw the third presentation of the queen carnival coronation ceremony, when the queen of the south, Mrs. Gordon Matthews, was crowned. A concert programme was provided by prominent local artists.

A feature of the programme was an item by Miss Kathleen Boyle and her company, while a military ensemble provided bv Miss Patricia. Boyle and assisting artists drew much applause. Vocal artists were again Irina Squirrel!, M iss Kay Christie, Mrs. Kathleen Farrell, Mrs. Mary Owers, Mr. Gordon Fagan and Mr. Robert Siminers. Mr. Alan McElwain presented a 6hort comedy number, while Miss Isabel Langlands contributed a viojin solo. A special matinee presentation of the full coronation ceremony and concert, will be given to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
