OPPORTUNITY FOR HORSES
The restriction of mechanical power owing to war conditions is regarded as a hopeful sign for the breeder of heavy horses by the director of the livestock division, Mr. W. C. Barry, in the annual report of the Department of A'ti 'rii.'ture. He said prices for draught horses were still considered low, and consequently there was not the incentive to encourage more breeding, was hopeful, however, that prices were improving in Australia, and enhance the. prospects in iNew Zealan
