TRIBES OF THE NORTH UNREMEDIED GRIEVANCE COMMISSION TO INQUIRE [BT TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] WAITANGI, Tuesday An announcement of considerable importance to the Ngapuhi tribes of North Auckland was made by the deputyPrime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, to-day, in his speech at the opening of f the Waitangi meeting house. Referring to the question of socalled surplus lands in the North, which had been mentioned by Sir Apirana Ngata in an earlier speech as a cause of unremedied grievance, Sir. Fraser announced on behalf of ' the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, that the Government intended to set up a commission which would go into the whole question and see how the troubles could be removed by readjustment. -
