AMBULANCE WORK
BRIGADE COMPETITIONS AUCKLAND DISTRICT TEAMS Keen interest was shown by Auckland district St. John Ambulance Brigade divisions in competitions for the Shelton Memorial Cup, for the treatment of an apparently drowned person, and the Jones Shield, awarded for injury diagnosis and treatment, stretcher work and bandaging. Satisfaction with tho work of the teams competing was expressed by Canon G. Coats, president of the Mount Albert ambulance division, who presented the trophies. The competition was under the control of Mr. H. W. Thompson, corps officer, tho judges being Mr. C. W. Gooderham, district officer, and Mr. W. P. Dawson and Mr. F. Davidson, corps officers. The Shelton Memorial Cup contest was won by the Otahuhu railway division, with 82 points. Mount Albert, Otahuhu and Onehunga No. 1 teams being second with 80 points each. The National Reserve team won the Jones Shield competition with 137 points, Otahuhu being second with 12G points and Mount Albert third with 120 points.
