MOTOR-CYCLISTS HURT

HEAD THROUGH CAR WINDOW ONE RIDER DRAGGED 80' TEET Concussion and lacerated face tni hands were suffered by Neville Wilkinson, aged 19, of Waimana Road, Taka* nini, shortly after mi'l-day yesterday when the motor-cycle he was riding collided with a motor-car driven by Mr. J. Fleming, of Otahuhu, at the intersection of the Main South Road and Station Road. Wilkinson was thrown • against the car and his head crashed through one of the, side windows. He was treated by Dr. Y. Griffen, of Otahiihu, and later conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition is serious. '

A compound fracture of- the left leg . and cuts on the head were suffered by a motor-cyclist, Mr. William Douglas, married, a labourer, aged '29, of .25 Coronation Road, Papatoetoe, shortly after five o'clock on Saturday evening, » when his machine capsized ou the mam, road at Papatoetoe. The rider was dragged for about 80ft. with his left foot pinned under the cycle. After receiving attention from Dr. J. J. Valentine, of Papatoetoe, Mr. Douglas was taken to the Auckland Hospital :in.4 St. John ambulance I '. His condition-is serious, but improving.
