MADAME LOTTE LEHMANN
FINAL CONCERT TO-NIGHT
■ The famous soprano Madame Lotte Lehmann, who was accorded an enthusiastic reception by a large audience at her first concert in Auckland, will make her second and final appearance in the Town Hall to-night. Madame Lehmann's voice is one of extreme beauty, her tone is gloriously rich and fresh, and she is equally conversant with every kind of music. At to-night's concert she will sing two operatic arias, one from "Tannhauser" (Wagner) and the other from "Andrea Chenier" (Giordano). The programme also will include two numbers by Brahms, "Death is the Cooling Night" and the well-known "Cradle Song." Among other numbers to follow are "Ombra mai Fu" (Handel), "leh Liebe Dich" (Beethoven), and Mozart's delightful "Wiegenlied." "Devotion" by Strauss and Mendelssohn's "On Wings of Song" are two further notable items on an outstanding programme. Booking arrangements are advertised.
