JAPANESE AIR RAIDS
CHUNGKING CASUALTIES LONDON, May 4 A second air raid on Chungking, in which 36 bombers participated, brought the estimated casualties to between 800 and 1000, says the Shanghai correspondent of the Times. A thohsancl people are homeless. One Japanese aeroplane was shot down. There were many casualties in air raids on Swatow and other towns in the Fukien Province.
