NO ACTION TAKEN

, ►; . ?/ OPEN LETTER CASE LABOUR PARTY DEBATE ' ii MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT CONFIDENCE VOTE PASSED [by TELEGBAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON. Wednesday After a lengthy discussion on the issue of an open letter dealing with the country's financial situation and the Government's financial policy, reputed to have been written by Mr. J. A. Lee, M.P., the conference of the Labour Party to-day carried a motion expressing confidence in the. members of the Parliamentary Labour Party. The conference decided on this course after debating a motion of condemnation of the publication of the circular and an amendment that the matter be left to the national executive for action. The resolution is looked upon as an outward display of party unity, the delegates holding that the passing of either the original motion or the amendment might have precipitated a division within the ranks of its members. ■ ■
