DEFECT IN ENGINES THE PORT CAROLINE POSTPONEMENT Of DEPARTURE As the result of the discovery yesterday of a cylinder defect in the engines of the Port Lino steamer Port Caroline the vessel was,omable to leave port last night for London according to her schedule. The Port Caroline will receive repairs to-day in the stream, the shortage of berth space forcing her to move away from Prince's Wharf at 6.30 this morning. She is expected to clear port to-night. The Port Caroline, in addition tonine passengers, is carrying a heavy cargo of produce for London and West Coast ports of Britain. She completed loading cargo, including a large quantity of wool from the recent Auckland sale, last night.
