MAORI WOMAN BURNED
MISHAP WITH KEROSENE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Wednesday Severe burns to the face and body were suffered by a Maori woman, Mrs. O'Brien, of Motiti Island, when kerosene, with which she was filling a lamp, spilled and caught on fire. Her husband immediately went to her assistance and was burned on both hands in endeavouring to extinguish the flames. Mrs. O'Brien was brought by launch to Tauranga and was admitted to the Tauranga Hospital,
