INTER-SCHOOL SPORTS
CRICKET AND TENNIS GAMES [from OtJtt OWN correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Thursday Threo cricket teams and one tennis team from the Matainata High School visited Cambridge this week and defeated the local High School teams in all matches. Owing to limitations of time some of the games were unfinished. Batting was confined to an hour for each side in the boys' cricket game, the visitors declaring at 85 runs for the loss of four wickets. Cambridge compiled only 3-1 in the saino time. In the senior girls' game, Matamatd was all out for 38. Cambridge fared badly and scored only 14 and 30 in its two innings, Matainata winning by an innings and fivo runs. The junior girls' match saw Cambridge all out for a total of '2O in two innings in reply to Matainata's 77, giving Matamata its third win, by an innings and 57 runs. The tennis matches were not finished, but of those completed Matamata won nine and Cambridge four.
