Reports were submitted by the pageantry, film and historical sub-com-mittee. The proposal that a pageant be held depicting the progress of the Bay of Islands since the arrival of the Maoris was enthusiastically received and it was decided to hold this event as near tho elate of tho national celebrations at Waitangi as possible. The view was expressed that a pageant could be presented which would compare favourably with those held in other parts of the Dominion,
