GOVERNMENT HOUSING
PLAN FOR PAPAKURA Advice that negotiations were pro ceeding for the purchase of land at Papakura for Government houses was received at a meeting of the Papakura Borough Council from thc« Parliamentary Under - Secretary in charge of Housing, Mr. J. A. Lee. As 1 soon as ncgotaitions were completed the department would proceed with the first part of the housing plan for the district. -i . The Mayor. Mr. S. Evans, expressed, satisfaction that Papakura s housing shortage, which was rather acute, was shortly to be relieved.
