TOURNAMENT AT WAIHI fISY telegraph—own correspondent] WAIHI, Thursday An amateur wrestling tournament was held in tho Drill Hall gymnasium last night between representatives of tho Morrinsville and Wailii Wrestling Clubs. There was a large attendance. Following were the results: —S. Davidson (Wailii) !»st, won on points from B. Best (Morrinsville), !)st; J. Groshinski (Wailii). Sst and B. Penny (Morrinsville), Sst, wrestled a draw; It. Pearson (Morrinsville), lOst 41b, beat W. Kavanagh (Wailii). lOst, on points; G. Spico (Mocrinsville), list, beat F. Beach (Waihi), lost 30lb, on points; R. Pekin (Morrinsville), Ust, won on points from D. Anderson (Waihi). 9st 101b. Exhibition bouts took place between Willets. list, and H. Pritchard, and also. R. Pearson and Monkley, lOst 41b, all of Mornnsville. both bouts ending in a draw. In a three-round boxing contest between C. Smith (Morrinsville), Ust 31b. and A. Pooley (Morrinsville). f)st Olb, tho decision went m favour of Smith. Mr. II„ Cowan refereed the wrestling and Mr. W. M. Wallnutt the boxing.
